Morgan was featured in an informative film Safe Sex for Men and Women about AIDS education and prevention. Morgan contributed a part of her income to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan is part of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Group. She has also spearheaded several other fundraising efforts to fight AIDS and testified before a special Congressional Committee about AIDS Education. She sits on the Board of Governors of APLA. She was asked to replace former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop at related events involving AIDS. Steve Bell, a news anchor, has also presented an AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell and Morgan have made appearances on Nightline two times to talk about AIDS. Morgan was nominated for an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In spring, she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. Her summer started by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner. The show included Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. The next film she was in took her to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady which also starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played a part in the thriller of psychological suspense which was produced exclusively for the USA Network garnering one of the biggest ratings in the history of the network.
